Lapis lazuli has been of the most sought after stones since early in history. Royals in Egypt used it in their adornments and burial ornaments. In Persia and pre-Colombian America, lapis lazuli was symbolic of a night’s sky with the gold flecks reflecting as stars. In Greek and Roman times, it was used ornamentally as the blue resembled the “heavens.”
Lapis lazuli is said to quickly release stress, allowing for peace and serenity. It is also said to expand awareness and permits spiritual journeying.
